I find it odd how people answer the vegetarian question and shy away from the animal cruelty. I am not a vegetarian, though I was for about a year and honestly felt better than I ever have in my life. I don't think we were ever intended to eat meat. Our teeth are made for chewing, yes, but we would have a hard time chewing raw meat like the other animals that have sharper teeth. Hence we have to cook it to make it edible.

As for animal cruelty, I think it is one of the worst things in this world! Especially people who chain their dogs to trees in the bitter elements and such. We can say "Oh, they have fur to keep them warm, blah blah blah but the fact is we domesticated them! If they are not a part of the family people should not have them. They cannot hunt food trapped in a fence or tied to a tree. I am not opposed to hunting and such as long as the animal is used in its entirety. I would rather the animals be shot than be forced to starve to death from overpopulation.

I'm not vegetarian and am against animal cruelty. How do they relate? Oh well, to each their own. My middle brother is vegetarian just because he doesn't like red meat.

** Meat has protiens and iron which your body needs. You can also get these from pills. Just stay healthy and live as you want to.

Why the two thumbs down? Just curious, did I make someone mad without meaning to?

If you are what you eat, then pork is a vegetable.
Have you heard the expression
I didn't get to the top of the food chain just so that I couldn't have a steak with my salad.
I am also against cruelty to nature and beast. But they will surely clean my bones as fast as they can.

Yes, I am. I don't eat meat including chicken (people often ask that). I don't eat fish, except for a tuna sandwich once a year, maybe or a deviled crab cake, but it must not taste like crab. I don't even feel comfortable about that. I gave up meat at age 36 completely, but probably made the decision when I was just alittle girl. I saw the veins in a fried chicken leg and knew it was just wrong....It would make you sick , sick ,sick to know how animals are treated before being slaughtered and during. Also, the sight of someone wearing real fur makes me sad and angry. Such a greedy world we live in. PEACE. Belinda ps I am 56.

I am against animal cruelty too! I'm also trying to become a vegetarian and I'm against school dissecting. Did you know that they breed them to kill them? That's just one of the most horrible things ever....Omygoodness....i just watched your video. I honestly feel like a horrible person. I feel like sending this to everyone in the entire world, but my friend's aren't like me so they'll probably get mad.

P.S.: My Chemical Romance is awesome

I used to be, I've cut back on my consumption of meat although I do eat it. I'm against animal cruelty also.

I try to be as much as I can but I usaually just refer to myself as, "not a big meet eater". I think they way that animals are mass produced is sickening and the hormone treatmenst are repulsive, but I will eat cruelty-free meat. I know it is still dying, but sometimes it tastes SO good.

I am what I would call.. and Expanded Circle Vegetarian. I will eat anything that will eat a vegetable (excluding anything with a decipherable language).

This way I don't need to eat all the vegetables myself and I don't cause any pain to the poor plants. I hate to hear them scream when they get drowned in the ranch.. it's so darn cruel.

yes, but pretty much just becuase i don't like to eat meat, fish, chicken, eggs or milk (though i eat things made with eggs and/or milk like cakes and stuff). i'm against animal cruelty, but just because i stop eating them doesnt mean they're going to stop killing them for other people.

No way, i tried that and the consistency of excrement was bizarre. Being vegitarian is not sound with the nature, even though it may seem like a good idea, on a daily basis you'll feel weaker. All physical signs say that its not as effective as a well balanced diet.
