Don't blame the unfriendly pirchers park. Rockies pitchers have similar stats at home and on road, some of them do even better at home. Isn't it weird?

Except for Mike Hampton, they have never put money on pitching and that's why they never succeed.

Other teams like BoSox and Astros play in hitters friendly parks and they usually have good teams.

Also they have poor managing, they used to have one of the best attendances and now it's among the worst, only below Washington, Florida and Pittsburgh.

There are too many facts, more important than the altitude concerns.

They just can't seem to put together a win streak more than two games.

It's tough to make progress on 1 games streaks.

The team is also 50/50. The hitting wil show up and but the pitching won't and vice versa. They really can do well in the same game.

Pitching is the simple answer. No good pitchers will come there unless they are getting a highly nflated contract. They know that their ERA will most likely rise having to pitch in that park and they don't want that to happen. This is the most diffucult location in all of baseball to build a winning team. It's been proven a million times that you can't outslug everyone in the playoffs, but that is the only way to really win in that ballpark. As long as they remain in Denver they will struggle to win consistently.

There are a number of reasons, but the finger can most easily be pointed at: poor decisions by the front office (Todd Helton's contract), a reluctance by ownership to spend money on free agents, and the geography of the team. No pitcher in his right mind wants to pitch at Coors. Fly balls magically become 3 run shots and breaking balls don't break.

its actually quite simple they play in a hitters park with bad pitchers and also they have no prospects to come up and lead there team in the future in addition do you ever hear of the rockies goin out and signin a big free agent...no they dont spend enough money they need to widen their budget and maybe sign mark texiera next yr if he becomes a free agent

They aren't any worse than the Cincinnati Reds have been the last 7 years or so. Maybe better.

how about the pirates they haven't had a winning season since the early early early1990's. like 1993. Its because of poor scouting and poor pitching.
