Terrorism is worldwide and no one can leave it even if they withdraw from a specified country, the move by Brown is one of appeasement. It is time for other countries to step up and do their share, but that's why the UN has become a joke lately, the USA does most of the heavy work, supplies most of the disaster/rebuilding aid and is expected to forgive everyone else's national debts. As long as Britain remains a target of Middle East terror they will have a military presence in the Middle East, they will leave the Middle East only when the Middle East withdraws from Britain.

Fighting terrorism No. Fighting Insurgants in Iraq Yes. To me we took our Eye off the ball when it came to fighting terrorism. Yes sadaam was a nasty tyrannt who was probably celebrating on 9/11, but he was no real threat to us. Currently about 5 percent of the insurgents are suspected to be related to Al Queda and roughly about 8 percent of Iraqs insurgents are foreign fighters. The world wants to stop terrorism, because as we see with world events it is affecting the rest of the world as much as the USA, but fighting terror does not include invading countries whose ties to the real threat are more or less non existant.

The British will leave. The only reason that they were there in the first place was because of Tony Blair, with him gone, the British will have to leave because they do not want to be involved in the Civil War of another country. Yes, Australia may stay but they have a very small force in Iraq & when Britian leaves, they may just wake up to the fact that they should also go home, as we should.

Yes.
I would be 100% behind a war fighting Islamofascism, but fighting "terrorism" is like fighting "blitzkreig".
The strategy is not the enemy. The enemy is the one using the strategy.
When we get serious about defeating this enemy, the first indicator will be our President unequivocally identifying it.
And it's not "terrorism".

If there is a school yard bully terrorizing kids at school should no stand up to him/her because you may stand alone? There comes a time when you must fight even if it is alone. But that aside we are not alone nor have we been abandoned.

Ok yes we basically would be alone. I see answers of Canadian and Australia. Canada has about 700 troops and Australia about 800...so yeah we would be alone.

please, we have very little military support as it is from other countries. as for other types of support for the war on terror, many countries are helping, terrorist get captured on a regular bases. it's a world wide effort, it's not just in Iraq or Afghanistan.

It would be much harder. If intelligence wasn't shared any more, then it puts both countries at risk. What do the tough guys say about security then?
