That would be fighting in the SCA at our various medieval events. There are pictures of this on my 360 blog - we fight in full armor and helms, and our weapons are made of thick rattan. There is nothing like it in the world, esp. at Blackstone Raids or Pennsic War. At War there are upwards of two thousand fighters on the field, all moving as units and armies. The fighting is intense, because it is a martial art - we are not choreographing anything. I am really trying to hit my opponent hard enough that he (or she) acknowledges it as a "killing" blow and "dies", dropping to the ground or leaving the field.
