Okay so I have a female guppy.Originally There were about 5 guppies and two mollies total in the tank. All of them except one of my pregnant females died...I cleaned out the tank and stuff but I have no idea how all of them died. Will she be okay by herself or should I buy another fish? If so....Type? Sex?

It depends really. If you really cleaned out your tank really well, then it needs to cycle again. If that's the case it would be best to allow the tank to cycle for about 4-5 weeks before adding any more fish. After that you can select most any peaceful community fish for your tank.

Guppies are generally schooling fish so it would probably be best if you got her a few more guppie friends. It really doesn't matter if you get a male or a female, but if you get some males and females then you should probably get more females than males, cause if theirs more males than females the males tend to fight over them. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Get a few more female guppies, unless you want to breed them. If you wish for tons of baby guppies get 2 more females and pretty male.

Either way guppies are schooling fish and do betetr with more of their own kind.

Definitely, go get the fish a friend. The species and gender isn't really of upmost importance.just ensure that the new resident isn't belligerent or an active predator.

However, I would suggest that you wait for your pregnant guppy to go into labour before getting the new guys. This is to prevent the newborn fry from being eaten by them, you know, no matter how peaceful fishes are, they would eat small wriggly stuff that fits their mouth.
