I have heard this can happen if women are together alot. Is this true? Do any of yall have any stories of this happening? Why does this happen?

Yes it can, and it does happen.
I was in boot camp with about 50 women total. Near the end of boot camp we were almost synchronized.

Yes this can definatly happen. I think the body sends out hormonal signals or something like that. I go to a very small school (35 in one grade,17 girls) and by the end of the school year we are all on the same cycle, it is wierdd how you can tell because every one wears t-shirts and is cramping.....it is kinda funny.

I don't know if it's true, but I do know that me and a lot of my friends are pretty close. Not exactly the same, but within a week or two of each other. And, I'm a week after my mom. I do see them all the time, so it may be true, or a very strangge coinicidence. I have heard that too, but I couldn't honestly tell you that its true.

i believe this is true. i started cosmatology school in january and i was irregulare for a month or two and now im right around the same time as the other 40 some girls in my class.

yes, my friend and i see each other every day and we've been spending alot of time together...i don't drive, and we have the same school schedule...as well as classes together...and we spent all last summer together hanging out and such...and as it appears, our periods have been on the same schedule for a couple of months...also, (i am a dancer) alot of my friends from dance are also on the same schedule...i guess due to seeing each other and spending alot of time together...
