I can't stand when people who know nothing about politics and war (Hollywood!) start spewing all this garbage they know nothing about.. only things they've heard through other people which are usually so out of context it's not even funny!

Do you think some people only hate Bush because most people do? Don't you think it's unfair to hate someone because everyone else does or people tell you to? I don't like Bush and I have noticed that I can't really have a conversation to anyone on why because they have nothing to contribute except the ocasional "yea, I know!" Don't you wish people would learn their politics before they make judgements??

Grr.

I wish people would have read what I wrote rather than hurry up and spew. I clearly stated I am not a Bush supporter.

No, I was way ahead of the curve on seeing what a lying little weasel he was. I wanted to knock that stupid smirk off his face way before 70% or so of Americans wised up and realized what a jackass he is.

Has anyone actually ever read the "Poll" questions?

usually there are 3 to 5 ratings

they go from poor to undetermined to good.

so if they went and asked "How would you rate president bush's policies?" anyone who marked poor or undecided get placed automatically in the "Disapproval" category.

the actual numbers would probably be closer to 30% poor 30% good and the rest undecided.

So then the numbers look bad for bush.

I can tell you right now I work with a lot of people and not one of them hates bush, I have asked. Most don't consider him a great president but most don't go around bashing him. even my little brother who is dyed in the wool liberal does not hate bush.

those polls mean nothing unless you see all the numbers, and the media does not show you all the numbers. It would also help if they disclosed where they gathered their information from, odds are they rarely leave big cities (which tend to be more liberal) to gather polling information.

as for celebrities, well they feel like they have a soap box and sadly there are a lot of lemmings who would follow them straight off a cliff. Anyone who bases their political views on what a celebrity thinks really needs to be prevented from breeding in my opinion.

You are right though, too many people go by what they are told and don't actually know what they are talking about. Unfortunately the source they use to get information is often biased and they take it for truth. it is very sad.

The left wing media and hollywood have been brainwashing the public for 7 years. If you only watch the major news then you can't have another view. The die hard libs will just hate him because he is a conservative.

They just can't get over losing two presidential elections to the silent majority of conservatives in this country.

I don't like many things his administration has done, but then I didn't like many things Clinton did either. I do believe both are good men in general and tried to do the best they could. I feel sorry for Bush because he has had to deal with some terrible things happening during his time in office. More than most presidents have had to deal with.

I agree with you in that too many people say hateful things they know nothing about because they are just following the crowd. I also hate it when politicians use unfortunate circustances to belittle the guy in office trying to deal with it.

young people tell me, I hate George Bush! I ask them why? the answers I get are like, "I don't know, cause he looks like a monkey I guess" or Iraq, he's taking their oil. he's an A**HOLE.
I think many people have no idea or even care what he has or has not done but more what he looks like, his mannerisms, his cocky walk, his smirk, etc.
I don't think he's great but he has faced much adversity, far more than any president in recent history and has kept this country from going down the toilet. its been a pretty stellar performance when you factor in the constant opposition from the left.

I think that some people's hatred of Bush is based on popular opinion. I on the other hand hate Bush because he has done nothing but try to destroy the Constitution with the so-called PATRIOT ACT. He has disignated areas as free speech zones far away from the actual event, he has jailed people (including citizens) indefianlty without a trial or an attorney, and he supports torture which is not the American way. We live in a great country which has rules and laws that we follow. Bush has bascially said that the Constitution, the document that gives us our freedoms and liberites is nothing but a damned piece of paper. That is why I hate Bush.

We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, is all ancient history. Then, before you can blink an eye, suddenly, it threatens to start all over again.

First I think Hollywood is very well informed. Not that I support my local comedian to tell me what to think, but I do think they are for the most part pretty well informed. I have the exact feeling towards the situation. I think the ones that support him are the ones you can't have a conversation with because they have no reason to give as to why they do...and if they do have a reason it is completely main stream like "I would rather fight them over there than here"...crap like that which is half the reason the Fear Pusher is the President, because people just hear what he says in one speech and they get scared and vote. Makes me sick all around how ill informed the american public is.

Today seven more young Americans died in Iraq. If President Bush could tell me, honestly, why they had to die I might not dislike him so! So far all I have heard from him are lies. Iraq was not threat to the USA, so why did we send troops there? Not one Iraqi was involved in 9/11 so that couldn't have been a reason. I read the news, watch the news & not just on the national stations. I consider myself pretty well informed. No, I do not hate Bush, I just don't feel that he has the smarts to run this nation. I think for myself; I don't care if 70% of the nation were for him, I would still not think he has the right stuff to be our President!

Know what I can't stand?

People that assume just because someone is an actor or a musician they know nothing about politics and war. I mean, speaking of judgmental!

There are normal, everyday Joes that know nothing about politics and war and still spew out their opinions. It is maddening regardless. But it is also the right of every person in this country - due to that pesky 1st amendment.

So I really wish that people would just state their opinions instead of passing judgment. It would be a much better world if everyone would just do that.

And by the way - I never liked Bush. So either I am not a trend follower, or I am ahead of the trend. I never voted for him, and it was never even in the rhelm of possibility.

Most people that have a strong hatred for President Bush are simply ignorant about politics, current events, history and government in general. They are usually emotional and irrational.

Since most people did not start out "hating" Bush, I think that they just became disgusted with him and his tactics, and this whole godforsaken "war". Maybe the people you talk to just can't bear to go over all of the crimes and lies any longer, so they just say, "I know". Or maybe they are Bush supporters, and just don't want to get into any discussions about it.

Whatever the reason, I think that people have very good, well-thought-out reasons for disliking the current "Decider", and maybe they just don't want to talk about it with you. What is the purpose of any further discussion anyway?

I am well educated, and quite "up" on politics, and I don't care to talk about him any longer! He makes me sick, and I want him out of the office of president before he screws up anything else. It has nothing to do with anyone else's opinions.
