Well, if you have a good excuse, then you can't be blamed, right?

No --you're not a bad student--you just have a bad habit.
It sounds like you are not putting enough importance on getting where you need to be on time.
You don't say if you live with your parents or are a college student. When my 2 grown children were at home, their alarm would go off but then I had to call them a while later to make sure they got up on time --otherwise they usually wouldn't.
My daughter, now a junior in college, when she was a freshman, used to set 3 different alarms to make sure she got up since Mom wasn't there to get her up.
You need to figure out some way to change this behavior --the consequences are much more severe if you are consistently late for a job when you are an adult out in the working world.
Good luck .

It doesn't make you a bad student, but perhaps being a bad student makes you dread going to school. Being late adds to stress, and stress makes it harder to learn. Get there on time EVERY SINGLE DAY and see how much better you feel. It will spill over and make you a better student.

You should really try and make more of an effort to get to school on time. Once you get into the "real world" if you want to keep a job you will have to be on time. They wouldn't like it to much to have their employee late everyday. Try and get use to it now while you are young. Think of how much easier class would be if you were on time and settled in before class started? And it's really not fair to the other students for you to enter into class late and interrupt. I'm sure they're not to happy with you.

Honey why don't you just get up a little earlier. I work at a school and it gets aggravating when the same children are late everyday. Bad student probably not, not very responsible probably.

This could make you a bad student, depending on your excuse. Laziness, yes. Unability to get a ride, no.

No as you may be very bright. I think it makes you irresponsible and will hurt you later on in life. You should care more about being on time and show more courtesy and respect for your teachers and your school. You probably need to make to proper steps to ensure that you quit this very bad habit.

i guess it would depend on how late..if your talking like 3 or 4 minutes...then i would say no...you just get up late...and school probably isn't your top priority...if your talking like a few hours then i would say you probably a bad student.
