I have done both. They're using our pressure to do something about illegal immigration as an EXCUSE for their betrayal. They are saying that if you had remained quiet, they might have allowed the status quo and not signed on to rewarding 12-20 million illegal aliens with permanent residence. But it was your complaints about illegal immigration that pushed them to this radical act! When you call, tell them you weren't asking for just "anything" to be done. No, you were asking that the laws on the books be enforced to cause illegal aliens to return home. Granting them permanent access to our jobs is the opposite of what you wanted. This is a bipartisan issue-with Obama, Tancreo, Romeny and Gingrich decrying the bill--Hillary is of course wavering.

If you don't want amnesty--don't give up. Are you willing to CALL YOUR SENATORS?

I've already done my duty and let my congressman know I'm not happy.

Ted Kennedy invited the American Civil Liberties Union,
the National Immigration Law Center, the National Council
of La Raza, the Service Employees International Union,
the Chamber of Commerce and the Essential Worker
Immigration Coalition to help him craft his
comprehensive immigration-reform bill.

Completely ignored in this process are American citizens!

I am outraged, that any attempt to draft a legitimate
immigration bill that would satisfy the American people
has been stolen away by "open-border" lobbyists!

That's why I've added my name to this important
Grassfire.org petition, and why I'm inviting you to do the
same--before Ted Kennedy and his cohorts ram an amnesty
bill down our throats that will jeopardize our national security.

You can also email them at www.congress.org

I would suggest you state your concern and that you feel we should enforce current law and that the multiple past efforts of amnesty for illegals has done nothing to stem the flow, only securing our borders will stop it, and they should do those two things before making yet another redundant law that will not work.

The debate on the Senate floor starts tonight, if they receive a million or so emails demanding this thing be tossed they might respond.

At this moment there is a significant coalition of republican senators that are steadfastly against this, there are also a few democrats. The more you can convince your democrat senator that should they want to get re-elected that their vote on this is critical to their personal future.

The senate is dividing up right now, today, send them emails, flood their phones, we can do something if we act NOW.

Yes,I have.Unfortunately, one of my Senators is Arlan Specter who is one of those who is pushing for this AMNESTY bill.He sent me a nonsense email back with the same page of information that I had just used to write to him.I also sent an email to Casey who is my other Senator. His reply was that "someone" would look into my concern and get back to me.Yea,right,I won't hold my breath.
I know both of my Senators will sell us out,but I made my opinion known to them anyway, along with telling them that anyone who votes for this bill will no longer get my vote.

Haven't done it yet, but I will. The moment I heard Kennedy had a hand in creating this amnesty bill I cringed. The sad part is Bush will sign it. That man needs to grow some Texas sized bal.....um ....guts.

I called and left my concerns. I will again call this Monday AM.

Tom Tancredo said that if he is elected into office the first thing he will do is send the army corp down to the border to build that wall first thing.
