Color of shirt brings out the eyes?

Why does paticular colors of a shirt bring out the color of the eyes?

It would depend on the eye colour. If your eyes were hazel and varied between green and brown, or grey and green, then wearing either of those colours would make the eyes seem more of that colour.
For dark brown eyes, wearing yellow can make them seem more golden, and black makes them seem darker. For blue eyes wear blue to deepen the colour and white to lighten it. For violet or grey eyes, blues and purples can deepen the colour. And for green eyes, anything with green or yellow will intensify the colour.
Colours are to be worn on the top half of the body to effect the colour of the eyes.
Lighting also affects the perception of eye colour.

I think it is either because it contrasts with the eye color or compliments it . I have green eyes, I can wear something purple , or a certain shade of green and both will do the same thing

It depends, people say I look good wearing a yellow shirt so maybe that means it brings out my brown eyes, though I am not sure.

whatever color your eyes are, a brighter color of it will bring them out. or look on a color wheel and whatever is across from your color will also bring it out nicely.

well say your eyes are blue and your wearing a blue shirt then your eyes show up more cuz the color of your shirt idk it depends on the color of your eyes but thatz my guess
