If you absolutely have to use something for a short period, then yes, you can use toilet paper to absorb menstrual blood. Just fold it over several times and place it inbetween your mons, so that it will be held in place.

If you're in a pinch with no pads or tampons then yes, but it won't last long believe me. I've had to do it a few times when my period decided to sneak up and surprise me while I was at school. The toilet paper also gets messy if you bleed a lot, it gets stuck to you and kind of falls apart so you're like picking toilet paper off yourself. It's not pretty. Get a pad or tampon as soon as you can!

Only in an emergcy and not for very long, you would have to use a lot of it-like half a roll. You'd be better off, if you had some cotton balls and using them as a pad.

For a quick fix to get a pad or tampon you can, just make sure you bundle enough in there so you won't have blood trickle down your leg.

Get a pad or tampon as fast as you can though.
