who was the most influential person in your life while growing up and how did they help you become a good man/husband/father as an adult?

my Uncle Navid
well i am a German guy i am not yet a husband
but my uncle had been realy a good model for me
and for any one that meets him
he is that sort of a man that really influence and touch peoples lives
i saw him many times cry a river just because of some one
he doesnt even know in pain
any sort of pain
he always tried to be there for every one and any one
but he didnt have that good life
he was despised from some of the family members
because he wasnt streight. . .
but still he was a great man
unfortunatly he died in a hadious accident
but i know somehow he is in a better place

I had no one.
Then. Anytime. Now.
I always thought for myself, wanted to make my own value decisions; expected to have to learn how to to make them.
I was courteous to everyone. Worked four times harder than anyone else. And got nothing in return.
But all the while I was searching for the answer to the question, "how does one define anything perfectly?"
I found it. With the help of Ayn Rand, my most significant influence, and by reading Edmond Hamilton, whose work helped me enjoy life to whatever degree was possible.
So I became the world's most honest man, and as a result I got nothing in return for 25 years except discrimination, disappointment, lies, fraud, frustration and crimes committed against me.
And it doesn't matter. I still love beauty, fight for justice and practice integrity.
I did not need anyone as an example, or a teacher. But those that served that role for me have my gratitude, to whatever degree they succeeded. And others need such figures. Seek the right one, and learn from them.
It's faster.

My Father. He taught by example. He was A good example of what A father, and husband should be.
