There is a highly secretive entity called the Bilderberg Conference that meets in Belgium under very private circumstances each year. Comprised mostly of bankers, politicians, wealthy elitists and military leaders from many different countries, this special clandestine organization wields more influence, power and control over financial, political and military issues than we dare imagine. It is very possible - in fact, highly likely - that U.S. Presidents and other nations' leaders are 'selected' at this conference several years in advance (George W. Bush was probably 'elected' at its 1998 or 1999 meeting). These powerful people want nothing left to chance...like some renegade 'independent' being voted in as U.S. President and over-turning the status quo. These people control the world, and will one day create a global government. Every person on this planet should be aware of the Bilderberg Conferences, but only a minute handful even know of its existence - or its real purposes. -RKO- 05/20/07

Yer, you're correct. I run the country when parliament isn't in session. It's quite a demanding job, but somehow I still find time to log into Yahoo Answers for a few minutes.
This arrangement dates back centuries. My family was designated in the Magna Carta on the belief that we are the most capable and lavel-headed Brits in existance.
Wot's truly remarkable is that the government that governs least, really does govern best. While I'm in charge, I just watch the news and go about my daily routine. I've found that as long as I don't try to "fix" everything, things actually run quite smoothly.
Was there something that you needed?

John Prescott, as Deputy Prime Minister
runs the country.
And may the Lord have Mercy on our Souls.
If the Profundity of his mind matched the Rotundity of the rest of him, we'd be OK!

Good question. I think your guess should be right, but is probably wrong. Unfortunately the Civil Service are running the country at the moment.

George Bush? He seems to love Tony far too much for it to a professional relationship. This is a mutual feeling from Blair too of course, but Bush has Tony wrapped tight around that little finger..

Well, I was going to say the banks and big business men always have and always will be in control, but I reckon RKO has pretty much answered the question.

Bush does!! He runs the world! Buwahahahahahahaha
Part of me wants to think RKO watched too many X-Files. The other part of me finds it way too plausible.

We run our country...Bush is not doing anything about, so why not keep doing the things that we are doing! Nobody is stopping us and it seems as though Bush has his own problems.
