It is currently about 48 degrees out. Kind of chilly. Do I have to take my plants in, or not unless it is supposed to freeze???

It depends on the type of plant. Some plants are severely set back even though the temperature is not actually at freezing point. It won't hurt them to be inside during a really cold spell, while it could hurt them to be outside.
They will be hardened off in plenty of time for outdoor planting, but right now it is best to treat them carefully.

Most of your plants should be okay unless it actually gets to the freezing point. However, anything really tender or any tropical plants could be damaged. if you're concerned you can always cover them with an old blanket or plastic sheeting. The earth retains heat and this cover will protect the plants even if it does freeze.

They should be fine. If you are worried, cover them with newspaper or place them closer to the house.
