.05 is the size of the 10 sq feet so the lawn is 200 sq feet
a third + a fourth + a fifth + a sixth are 190 sq feet

M = 1/3
T = 1/4
W = 10 m²
R = 1/5
F = 1/6

Use a common denominator of 60.

M = 1/3 = 20/60
T = 1/4 = 15/60
W = 10 m²
R = 1/5 = 12/60
F = 1/6 = 10/60

(20 + 15 + 12 + 10)/60 = 57/60

Assuming the lawn was completed on Friday evening, the Wednesday effort of 10 m² represented 3/60 of the lawn.

Let L = Lawn size in square meters.

(3/60) * L = 10 m²

L = 10 / (3/60) = 200 m²

Technically this could be a trick question. We were never told that he finished mowing the lawn on Friday evening.

x = area of the lawn

(1/6)x + (1/5)x + 10 + (1/4)x + (1/3)x = x
(57/60)x + 10 = x
(3/60)x = 10
x = 200 square meters

57/60 is the sum of the fractions

I'm assuming that by the end of Friday you mowed the entire lawn.
x = area of the lawn
x/3 + x/4 + 10 + x/5 + x/6 = x
creating a common denominator
20x/60 + 15x/60 +12x/60 + 10x/60 + 10 = x
57x/60 + 10 = x
10 = 3x/60
10 = x/20
x = 200 square meters

1- 1/3-1/4-1/5-1/6 = 10 meters

60/60 - 20/60 - 15/60 -12/60 - 10/60 = 10 square meters

3/60 = 10 square meters

your neighbor's lawn is 200 square meters
