my fish has dropsy. its had it for 2 and a hlaf weeks. shes eating again and her scales went straight but its belly is still bloated. is there any thing i can do to help it?

actual dropsy is kidney failure. fish don't recover from it. there are a few other things that cause pine coning of the scales. so since your fish is getting better I'm going to guess it was something else. your fish will most likely continue to improve, but as MM said it may never fully go back to the way it was.

however, the bloating may be caused by something else, like constipation. soak a frozen pea in hot water until both are room temp. peel off the kin and feed the inside to the fish. if your fish is constipated this should help. if not, your fish just got a little treat :)

Your best course of action is to just let things go and it will probably continue to improve. If in fact the fish had dropsy and not just constipation, there is a reasonable chance that it will never have exactly the same shape it did before due to internal damage, but it could still improve quite a bit.
