Carnivores spend a lot of time stalking their prey. They also don't eat meat every day. Coyotes, wolves, and mountain cats eat meat about twice a week.
Contrast this with humans who barbecue hot dogs every day. They don't have to hunt, kill, and skin their game. They drive to the grocery store, then sit around the grill. Not nearly the same amount of excercise.
Also, the digestive systems of carnivores are different than those of omnivores such as humans, pigs, and bears.

Because humans are, by nature, omnivorous, and are not physiologically adapted to be pure carnivores.
There are some small human populations, however, who live almost entirely on meat; their lifestyle is so much different from ours, though, that I don't know how to make the comparison.

We aren't evolved to digest only meat. We have evolve to eat what we can find which is typically fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
Carnivores aren't fat and lazy. To catch meat, one must work hard and run fast. Many cultures eat meat, and are perfectly healthy, but they don't eat sausage and eggs for breakfast, get in their car go to work in an office, eat a double bacon cheesburger with extra mayo for lunch, drive home and eat a steak for dinner and watch the tv until they go to bed.

Humans eat a lot of starch and fatty foods, and too much of that leads to heart attacks. Also, animals get lots of exercise, a lot more than the average person in a developed country.
