I will be driving 55mph and let go of my gas peddle and the car still continues to stay at the same speed or it eccelerates all on its own without me even touching the gas peddle or druise control. When I step on the brake it is hard to stop the car. It's like my car doesn't want to stop it just wants to keep driving and accelerating. Also when I put it in park it idles at or above 2rpms and makes a little bit of a clunking noise when I shift it into park. Does anyone out there no what might be causing all of this to happen to my car all at onces. I really need your help because it's kind of scaring me a little bit, and I have to drive my car 60 miles a day 5 days a week.

Sounds like your idle air control valve is stuck open or you have a huge vacuum leak. Take it to a shop right away.

I would first check my cruise control fuses...they will allow the cruise to engage but not disengage. the hi idle you have is probably a vacuum leak. the computer compensates for excess air and dumps more fuel in the engine causing a high idle. if it's accelerating without the cruise control engaged then you have a problem i can't diagnose over the computer.

well i think its safe to say you have a magical car! don't let it scare u tho, my cell phone works like that too - i only sends text messages when it wants to... thats kinda good tho cause it stops me from saying stupid stuff most of the time! anyway im pretty sure your car is driving like that to avoid danger - its making sure it gets u there safely!!! oh but as far as fixing this change your oil - and get some chrome rims - because if your car isn't happy with u...u really could be in trouble

There is something wrong with your car, probably the accelerator or fuel injectors or something. Take it to a mechanic IMMEDIATELY this is a serious and potentially dangerous problem to yourself, your pretty, others property and others in general.

id check the throttle body cables. make sure nothing is preventing the throttle body from closing. i would also look for a vacuum leak.

Take it to a shop, this could possibly injure or kill you, or somebody else on the road.

But please, remember to try and stop at the shop, and not drive through it,
