It's a 4 year age difference but I don't think he's too old for you.
Females are known to mature faster then males... so you may be on a level of maturity that is much higher then boys your age; which is understandable.
Also, this guy is obviously a good boyfriend to you because if he wasn't you two wouldn't have been together for such a long time.
I think you should follow your heart and remember that age is only a number. In some circumstances it's not a good idea for a teen girl to date a much older guy because he might just want certain things out of it. But in your case, knowing you've been with him for three years, is actually reassuring that he cares about you.
I wish your relationship the best and hope your mom is as accepting as I am about it.

besides the fact of the age difference.......I am stunned that you have actually been together for three years without your mother having a clue. I am dumb-founded. Do you have a
dad around? Four years is not alot if you are 18 and he is 22. or even older. BUT AT 12, you were too young to have
a serious boyfriend no matter how old. I am sorry that your
mom is not more aware of your life. I hope it all works out
for you and you have a wonderful joyful fulfilling life.

It is illegal if you have sex. However, morally it makes me want to vomit. Why is a 19yo wanting to date a 15yo and you said you have been together for 3 years. That means you started dating when he was16 and you were 12!?!?!? That goes well beyond gross. You don't get it now you are young and an older guy likes you but baby when you get to his age you will understand. Could you date someone that is 11 right now?

actually, since your still 15 its illegal but in some states when you turn 16 then its not illegal but if he gets you pregnant then he would have to marry you or he'll be in trouble, cause some states you can marry at 16. but truly do you really know what love is? i thought i did at 14 and got married at 16 and had a whole lot of maturing to go through so think about it.

I agree age aint nothin but a number all my boyfriends have been in early to mid 20's and im 17 (my current is 18 though) and it was fine but you shouldnt have sex with him untill its legal or untill your married because he can go to jail EVEN if you say it wasnt rape and you instigated it he will still be forced to register as a sex offender and it will follow him around forever, can you do that to him? if you really love him dont have sex but you should tell your mom, its understandandable why your scared to though.
I hope everyhthing works out for the better. And the age difference is no biggie really 4 years is nothing but your still really young and love plays tricks on your mind
i hope you dont get your heart broken. if you need to chat ever you can IM me. vanillacutie_01 for yahoo

yes it is wrong. If you are 19 then it is okay to date someone who's four years older. But if you are 15 it is not. First of all it is a felony for him to have sex with you- that is statutory rape (not that you should be having sex at your age anyway). You need to be dating men your own age. Date someone who could not go to jail for dating you. you are too young to date anyway.
Good rule of thumb- if you have to hide it from your parents, it is probably not a good idea.

Four years aren't normally a problem between two people, but they can be a problem at your age, if he crosses over the line. If you and he have sex, he could be arrested for statutory rape--wait until you're at least 18 for that. You don't have to wait until you're 18 to tell your mother; I think she'd be happy to meet him before then. And you'd like to take him to your junior/senior proms and Christmas dances, etc.

If you are in a secret sexual relationship with him, then he is in legal danger in some states. You might want to find out the lagal age of consent in your state. No, I don't think he is too old for you unless he is requiring more than you feel comfortable giving. Do you want to go to college, but are afraid of losing him if you go away? I wouldn't wait three years to tell my mother about him. That is too many lies for too many years. Are you afraid of what your mother might do?

i have a 15 year old daughter and i would rather her be honest with me that lie about things so why don't you speak to your mum about it now and be honest i would be OK about my girl being with a 19 year old if i knew that they were behaving like adults and by lying to her your not showing her that your responsible enough so talk it always helps good luck

You started dating him when your 12, no he isn't to old for you and after you reach 18 to tell your Mom. That is good enough for me, but don't start having sex at this early age, are have you it already. whatever , no he isn't to old for you. Four years difference is not to old .
