I would have to answer this from an "old farts" point of view...since I am one! In my opinion, a lot of individuals, mostly fairly young ones, consider themselves to be invincible. Being invincible means that nothing can hurt you; everything is a challenge! For most of us that have matured beyond the "invincible" stage, have realized, over time, that what is deemed "good for you" is strictly a matter of opinion. When you have grand-kids or any other significant living being in your life, you begin to realize that taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do...and that, to me, would be a "good" thing!

alot of this is based on society and our upbringing.. exercise is supposedly good for us..but we are so busy running here and there till we don*t allow ourselves time for this self indulgence. Fruits and vegetables are suppose to be healthy snacks....but they aren*t offered for sale at your local convenience stores...whereas cakes, cookies, and chips are. Plus the price differential at the grocery store...when on a limited budget..as most of us are...we have to either choose healthy or the most for the money....unhealthy snacks go farther...it seems also that foods that the food and drug administration once thought healthy are daily being changed..and declared as having cancerous causing ingredients..is it safe to put any type food in our mouths anymore? Have we completely lost all faith and trust in those who are suppose to be looking out and safeguarding us? I have. Sunshine is suppose to be good for us...right? yet now if we are out in it too much they say it can cause skin cancer in later years. We work in factories that harm our lungs...why are they even allowed to operate such factories? Homes that we invest in for our families...appealing...yet often result in hidden mold/mildew and harmful ingredients within the paint on the walls. Sorry...not exactly what you were asking for..............

because there not visually appealing to us and what ever is attractive to the eyes is what we want. Most of the times we dont consider what is best for us we just look at things that are appealing.

Its like 'the forbidden fruit' thing; once your told that something is bad for you, you get curious as to why that might be bad for you, and on and on...
like 'dried fruit' does that sound as good as, 'chocolate cake'?
Once your told your not supposed to eat it then you crave it.
Something like that.
