Luckily for you, the real estate market has hit the Inland Empire the hardest in the nation. The Inland Empire is the western part of San Bernardino/Riverside county. If you're being transferred to March, then I would probably look to the neighborhoods of Arnold Height or Woodcrest which is located to the west of March ARB. Corona is a great area, but the commute may be a turnoff. The 91 freeway is normally one of the most congested routes in the IE.

there is the santa ana river that flows from big bear to padre dam. it flows more near the Colton area through Norco. I remember going horse back riding along this river. in the 70's &80's it was clean enough to swin in on really hot days.

It was named for the location by the Santa Ana River. Weird, but true.

Wasn't there a Gage Canal in that area? (Not that a canal qualifies as a river, unless one has a big imagination.)
