I too am a practicing Catholic, and to be honest, masturbation is probably the safest sex there is, since abstinance isn't safe sex because it is the abstaining from sex. There is nothing wrong with masturbation although if you asked a priest directly, he may just tell you to say a couple of "Our Fathers.." and a "Hail Mary..." It's one of those " Don't ask, don't tell " questions as far as the church is concerned. I think there are some passages in the Bible concerning "men spilling their seed upon the earth" and that it's not a good thing to do. But if you go by the Bible word for word, there would be a whole different world we'd be living in today since there is the " Eye for an eye" rule and" if thy eye offends thee, pluck it out " All of those other rules that caused people to go to war and kill their own families.
Just relax and know that it doesn't matter how many times someone will deny it, they most likely do it and the ones who speak out against it the most, are probably doing it the most.

Sure is OK! There is nothing wrong with masturbation! There are no ill effects. It is not against the law. It is not immoral. It is a perfectly normal healthy thing done by 98% of men (the other two percent are liars.) I masturbate once or twice a day. Usually it consists of manual stimulation of my penis. Fingers around the guy and a regular back and forth (if standing) or up and down motion (if lying down). I don't normally require any visual assistance but certainly visuals will generate the desire to masturbate.
You can be assured that:
- you won't develop pimples, acne or zits;
- your penis will not get shorter;
- you will not be less intelligent;
- you will not grow hair on your palms;
- you will not lose hair or go bald;
- you will not go to hell (at least because of masturbating);
- you will not lose your mind;
- you will not become sterile;
- your penis will not fall off;
- your testicles will not decrease in size;
- your chance of being struck by lightning is not increase.
But you will be:
- your penis will likely become stronger;
- more relaxed;
- smiling most of the time;
- a perfectly normal man;
- and you will still produce enough eggs in your sperm.
So keep IT up and continue to enjoy. !

Weeellll, i'm roman catholic too and I masturbate. Don't worry about it. It's a perfectly natural thing to masturbate, and you shouldn't be ashamed or embarressed to masturbate. Remember "95% of boys will admit that they masturbate, the other 5% are probably lying" don't know how accurate that saying is, but ya. O and you can't get STD's or AIDS from masturbating. And hey, if it is a sin, well that's what confession is for right? Openly admitting your sins to your preacher.

The Roman Catholic church frowns on masturbation, but I think if I remember correctly it's a venial sin and not a mortal sin. Personally I don't think it's a sin at all because the Bible says absolutely NOTHING about masturbation WHATSOEVER.

Yes it is. There is nothing wrong with it. I guarantee you that everyone that has told you that they haven't done it is really lying to you.
You can't get an STD or AIDS or HIV or anything like that from masturbation. It is perfectly safe and no it is not a sin.

Masturbation is totally OK. Guys do that all the time. Religion doesnt forbid this act. You cant get any type of an STD, as STDs spread with blood and hmm...discharges...So you cant get it by masturbation unless you dip your hand in some HIV infected blood before doing it.

My child didn't get this kind of ignorance from his Catholic school so did you sleep a lot in classrooms or is this a dis'
job on a religion; I can't presume to say. Let it suffice The
Church has not executed anyone recently for any of the reasons our question source has mentioned, and to be frank, being obliged to finger rosary beads while reciting a few extra 'Hail Mary' would not hurt your soul. Go to Mass.

No STD's, yes it's fun, and it's also good for you. If you keep your epididymus and prostate cleaned out, you sharply reduce your chances of having trouble with them later on. The up side is your "boys" will always be fresh, as well.
