Because you like yourself, but then you feel selfish because you are not sharing such a good person with anyone else!

Because you are one of those people who hate being hurt but are in a painful relationship. A part of you hates the loneliness but also another part loves it, it might be the wanting of attention by doing so people might notice you. I use to be like that and it was hard for me to change, but basically you might either feel as if ur getting more attention by being alone and people wondering where you are, or you just want your time to think but with someone at your side that is just there to be there with you. I found that person and now i am as happy as i could ever be

Honestly, without know much about you, or even your past, its hard to tell. I used to be like this to and still am to an extent, but I was diagnosed this depression and anxiety. If you find yourself having trouble sleeping at night or sleeping all the time, mood swings, suicidial thoughts, change in appetite, feeling lazy, feeling sad a lot of the time, or just not feeling like yourself, I believe you should seek professional help from a doctor. I work with teenagers with all sorts of mental health diagnoses.
If you don't have any of the symptoms listed above, try to socialize a little more but don't over do it.
If you would like to talk anymore, feel free to get ahold of me.

The 21st century is raining soup, and all you can do is use your soupbowl for a rainhat. If you hate to be alone it is because you are in poor company.
We live in a Golden Age. Stop complaining about all the yellow.

Nervous of being with others or easily made uncomfortable
from others but hate being alone which could be because
being alone requires being self sufficient and confident. My
answer is just speculation and may not refer to you. Only you
can decide if it could refer to yourself.

You could be alone but not lonely because there is a difference in the two. Or vice versa...You probably enjoy company but when you see their behavior that'll probably make you go ugh.. But you still like them and most important you still like your peace.

It's the difference between solitude and lonliness - it all depends on context.
