I'm thinking of buying a laptop soon soon and I was just wondering if there is a way to transfer the songs from the iTunes on my computer at home to the laptop.

Yes there is a program called Ipod xPorter. A better question is, "is there a free way to do it?"

Edit, I found a better way for you to do this, and yes it's free:

Download an application called Ephpod. It's for Windows.

is the music on itunes or on an ipod?

to get music off of itunes all ur songs should be in the "C:\Documents and Settings\YourUsername\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music" directory.

If the songs are on an ipod set up hard disk in itunes for the ipod then go to my computer and open the ipod drive. Then go to the tools tab at the top of the windows and go down to folder options. Then click on the view tab, next scroll down a bit until u see show hidden files and folders and check the box next to it. Then u will see a hidden music foler and all ur music should be in it

You can do it if you have an ipod. I forget how, but you can go to itunes.com and go to help.
