I'm POA for my wife's aunt and because of disagreements over how some affairs should be handled, I wish to have this POA terminated and be absolved of any responsibility over this person's affairs.

Only the person that granted the POA (your wife's aunt) can revoke the POA. On the other hand, you are only responsible for how you USE the authority granted by the POA. If you don't do anything, you are not responsible for anything. I you have been named her guardian by a court, petition the court to name a new guardian.

Inform your wife's aunt, your wife (via letter) and have this same letter notarized. Keep a copy for yourself.
