No, we are not emboldening our enemy by criticizing the president. We are emboldening our enemy by having an incompetent leader at our helm.

well... what does history have to say about it?
terrorists (or middle eastern religious extremists) have been locked in battle before with superpowers, and with very little criticizing of the superpowers actions by the people of said superpower...
Russia went into Afghanistan in the 80s and fought against Osama and some of the very same people we are fighting today, very similar group...
and Russia wasn't open to criticism, at least for the first 5 years of the war... after that, cracks started to appear..
and, miracle of miracles, they didn't stop fighting the Russians for 5 years or even after that?
it's almost like they have their own reasons for fighting and don't care what we do or say?
imagine that?
people who say we are "emboldening the enemy" may as well be holding up a sign that says "I have no clue who the enemy is, what they want or know anything about their motivations"
but of course, I guess we should bear in mind, these are the same folks that say they are attacking us "because we are free"...

Defenders of liberty are not just soldiers. Every one of us who makes a stand against the abuse of power or the unwarrented expansion of power is a defender of liberty.
Roll over and play dead? Never!! That's how the Fascists won the first time. If we quit criticizing the president nothing will change except that his critics will have been silenced.
Besides, I saw on him on Fox news on the flight deck if some aircraft carrier dressed in his cute little flight suit declaring that the war was over "Mission Accomplished!"
So if we won why are we still there? I just don't understand that one.

That is total BS!
If it weren't for the college students we would still be fighting Vietnam!
Fox News? It is automatically a lie when they broadcast anything!
Yea, the Iraqi's are killing themselves because we don't want the violence stopped.
The violence will continue as long as we are there. We are not winning a military victory in Iraq! We are continuing to lose lives: 7 today!

Well, of course Fox "News" says that - it's a typical propaganda ploy, and Fox "News" is the Republican party's primary propagandists, along with Rush "Toxic Poison Mouth" Limbaugh. The violence in Iraq and Afghanistan is squarely the fault of George W. Bush and his bloodthirsty compatriots who have only two interests: OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. -RKO- 05/20/07

to some extent the dems and left wing lib wackos are contributing by creating an aura of division in the USA.The enemy sees this and is encouraged by the split.these people are smart and know and study history carefully.our record in viet nam, somalia and all terrorist attacks up to 9/11 were swept under the rug,we were seen as weak.we should have kicked them in the balls back in the 1970's any time these pricks sneezed. Thank God Pres.Bush had the spine and resolve after 9/11.Stop this silly sh*t about loosing the war.we took out 2 countries and opened the eyes of the sand people.no attacks in the USA since 9/11 .guess what the reason is- isn't because of the dems and libs are whining!Yes iraq is a bit*h,we can finish this one by turning our military loose to fight a real war. This political horseshit and worry as to world opinion is killing our guys.change the rules of engagement and kill the motherf*ckers! end of story.........

You lost me on this one. Every president since Washington has been criticized. We do not know the enemy. It is a lot different if we knew who and where he was. A group of terrorists are a lot different then Ho Chi Minh, Kim Il Jong, Adolf Hitler, Fidel Castro.
