China. Larger population. America would only win if they used nuclear weapons....
If everyone in China sat down at the same time there would be a disatrous earthquake in America...

Both countries have nuclear weapons enough to destroy the earth for several times. If it is a serious war that is going to destroy one of the country, it will be the END OF THE WORLD.
If it is a world in some place else, the will be very depends on the result of the war, and the supporting from other countries.
But this could be something happen if it is just China and US:
- China's people will suffer more than China's leader. (The power of China are more concentrated, and chairman is not voted by its people. Life is much cheaper in China. It will be lack of food and resource in China, but leader aren't the one will suffer from this.)
- The leaders in US will suffer more than US's people. (War with China is going to be huge economic and life lost. It's almost a game over to the presidenty. )

China is better in population numbers but lacking in technological aptitude. Further, China has less development to protect. They're main cities are on the verge of developing. This hinders their transportation, and ease of collecting the population they would need to have the strategic advantage of the numbers.
Right here ... right now ... I'd bet on the USA ... however, it will be a different story in 10-20 years!!!
My hopes is that China will take the good of the USA and Western Civilization and set standards higher than these (capitalistic, morally, environmentally, and ethically) ... then kick our sorry butt's by raising humanity to new levels ... then we can compete for "World Peace" instead of destroying each others property and persons.

in Combat war China hands down 1+ billion to about 300 milion we gonna get our a** whooped bad
to win a war with China the US would have to use Nuclear Bombs & Missiles

They would because they have people willing to die for honor
and nothing else.Can we really say , as a whole country, that we are that iron willed?That we are willing to give our own children hand grenades and guns?Because they are.
