I'm not going to go and say the George W Bush is our worst President just because Jimmy Carter says so. Having been around for a few Presidents, I can say this. There will be people that will claim that every sitting President is our worst President.

I would definitley say so, I don't recall anyone's administration ever being riddled with so many scandals. He has made of a joke of our political system, and has made our country the laughing stock of the world. He makes Nixon seem like a straight forward guy, and we all know that is bad. He mocks the basis of our system by pre-vetoing anything that a democratic party puts in front of him, and that is also a direct reflection of not only his willingness to compromise and work in a bi-partisan manor. The only thing worse than his ability to run a country, is his ability to speak. The way he constantly berates and refuses to answer questions shows how involved he is. But as long as Tricky Dick keeps the money coming in he'll continue to represent our country like the retarded jackass he is. In closing do whatever he says: or the terrorists win.

In MY lifetime, Jimmy Carter is the WORST of the WORST!
Nixon was a criminal but he got us out of Vietnam. Clinton ignored the facts in front of his own face when it came to confronting real life in this violent world which resulted in increases in terrorism world-wide (besides being a great and constant liar who took credit for the accomplishments of others).
Carter did NOTHING while watching the U.S. economy plummet and without an economy there is NO AMERICA!
He did NOTHING when Iran invaded our embassy. What a disgrace he was.
Carter left us open to all sorts of future degradation.
Thank GOD for Ronald Reagan.
Bush is not competent but to know how bad it can get, you needed to live during the Carter years when inflation hit 12 % or more and interest rates were even higher! Still, Carter did NOTHING!!!

Jimmy Carter is only claiming Bush is the worst, because he wants to give up that title himself and become only "the second worst president" ever.

Well, it was enevitable, though and not his fault. If you took the two candidates and put them in paper bags, roll down the tops and shook the bags vigorously, the rolled the bags up again, the same smell would eminate from both. With that to choose from, it wasn't the fault of the American people either. Gee, I wonder who would be responsible for such afeat for happening, not once but twice. Go figure. Wake up America!

When he gets out of office, I'll bet we'll be seeing our next door neighbors having parties with a big fat hit Bush Pinata. (I will be one of those neighbors so pardon the noice)

first, carter is very far from being honorable. then Judgements of best and worst are subjective, of course, but many historians would agree on James Buchanan. He took absolutely no action when the Southern states started seceeding from the Union after the election of 1860 instead of at least trying to prevent the Civil War.
Some would argue for Herbert Hoover, blaming him for the great depression.
You could also make argument for Grant and Harding because of the corruption of their administrations.
Here is more input:
It is fashionable to say George W. Bush, but only people motivated by simple hatred of a man they can not defeat say that he is the worst president ever. The vast majority of them don't really believe it, they just say it because it makes them feel good. Those who do believe it are woefully ignorant of history.
Bill Clinton is a popular choice among some. Here are some his records:
The President who had the most members of his administration charged and convicted of felonies was Bill Clinton.
The only President ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify.
Most number of witnesses to die suddenly.
First President sued for sexual harassment.
First President accused of rape.
First first lady to come under criminal investigation.
Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case.
First President to establish a legal defense fund.
First President to be held in contempt of court.
Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions.
Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad.

Jimmy should stick to building House's. That's about all he's good at. Him calling GW a bad president is like a prostitute wearing white to her wedding. However GW is pretty bad.

The same Jimmy Carter that allowed the Iranians to hold American embassy personnel hostage for over a year destroying our credibility as a nation and leading directly to the terrorist attacks on 9/11? That Jimmy Carter?
