Help: need info on Pioneer days medicine concoctions...?

Question

I'm helping my nephew do a project (gr.3) and he's doing it on the medicines they used back then (in Canada, if that makes a difference) using plants and flowers and we need to know more about what kind of medicines they used with what plants, exactly.
Any info or good web sites would be great! Thanx!

I found one good website on Ohio medicines of the 1800's. It would be the same as what was used in Canada. I'm sorry that's all I could find in the time I have, one other suggestion is
