Scientists and atheists will tell you that science has plenty of proof and there is none for God.
Keep in mind that all religion is based on faith: what you believe. If it were proven that God does exist, there would be no need for people to have that faith. Then what would they believe in?
By the way, I'm agnostic - I think I believe but I might not!
It's up to you to figure out what you're comfortable with.

Science has all the proof -- but the question is where did all that matter come from? If there was no universe there would be no life, no sun, no planets or stars or nothing...it must have come from something that existed before time.
Depending on what you believe, it can be God or science. Most people choose God because it's what they were raised to believe, but the two go hand in hand.
If there was no science to create matter there would be no God to start Evolution from. If there was no God, how did science and everything in the universe come to exist?? Sometimes I don't even know what to think.

Which is better, watermelon, or steak?
This isn't a contest. Science is all about evidence and theory that incorporates that evidence into a comprehensible structure. We lack unequivocal evidence for the existence of God. Belief in God is, therefore, a matter of faith--except for those few priveledged individuals to whom God has chosen to reveal Herself (and I cannot be certain they were not simply mistaken--perhaps some sort of temporary psychosis, induced by epilepsy or psychoactive pharmaceuticals). We strongly suspect that some of the people who talk to God, like Son of Sam, are mistaken. It seems unlikely God would select random inviduals to kill other random people.
Why did God allow Hitler to slaughter six million jews? One might just as easily ask, did God slaughter the six million jews, or was it science? Again, the question itself is probably faulty.
As for Pasteur proving that spontaneous generation does not occur--that is only true within a static environment such as the one Pasteur provided. Trees cannot fully mature inside Pasteur's tiny sterile beaker either, but that does not mean they cannot grow elsewhere, in any sufficiently suitable environment.
When Pasteur's beaker is the size and dynamic orientation of the earth's surface (including ocean thermal vents), and the experiment has been run for two billion years without result, then we can agree spontaneous generation is not inevitable. I'd like to see a few hundred thousand repetitions of the experiment on that scale before I start drawing conclusions on the probability for spontaneous generation. An acceptable alternative would be to visit that many other earth-like planets.
In summary, believe what works. Science works. Science does not set itself up in opposition to God. If God works for you, then believe in God also. No one says you cannot have your cake and eat it too, except for a few antiscience religious lunatics.

Science is all about proof. If there is no proof it isn´t science. So science cannot prove everything just yet but this much is for certain: there is no need for anything like the biblical god to create the universe, the planets and life.

In science, you dont have to believe. If someone provides a compelling argument that the electrons dont flow, and provide an alternative argument that explains the observed facts, and more, we drop our "belief" of electrons and move on to the new theory. At the same time we dont speak disparagingly of the scientists who formulated the earlier theories.
eg. Newton is still looked upon as one of the greatest physicists in history even though relativity has raised questions on much of his work.
Religion/God is more absolute, and is far less subject to scrutiny. You accept statements based on faith and no so much on what you observe.

Do you want proof that God exists? Do you believe in the expression that "one man can change the world"? Well I am proof that God exists. And I am 100% sure that i'm not the only one.
There is two reasons that i strongly believe in god. One; everything i have asked of God, I have gotten. Two; everything that i have asked of God, and not gotten, i had not gotten for a reason that was rewarding to me.
Now here is what i say to all non believers in God. If you don't believe in God, start believing, and true believing. And stay believing. If you get shot in the left arm, and they have to amput that arm, believe in God. If you get shot in the right arm and they also have to ampute that arm, Believe in God. If you get shot in both your arms and both your legs, and they have to amput all four appendixes, Keep beiliving In God. If the next day, after the amputing, you get liver disease and half of your brain dies, but you're still alive in pain, Believe in God. If after all that, you are sure that you have 48 hours to live, and God has not shown any sign of compassion to you, ever... spent the next 24 hours in pain, But still believing in God. Because you can be sure, absolutely sure, that in your last 24 hours, you are going to have the best time of your life. Something truly amazing will happen to you. And as the last second of life passes from your body, you will be happy that you kept believing in God.
All that is because God wants to test your faith. God wants to see that if ur arm is cut from your body, will your faith be cut down as well? If your whole body is torn apart, will your faith burn out before you die? If after you are released from this mortal prison, you have kept your faith in tact, then that is the time when God will show compassion to the creation before him.

Proof: 1500 yrs ago the sun revolved around the earth. Proof: 500 yrs ago the earth was flat. Proof 150 yrs ago man couldn't fly. What is proof..what people choose to believe at the time, but not necessarily factual.

Science built your computer, not god. Well, that's science 1, god 0. Then add everything else and you have science infinity, god 0. So if you want to believe in god, don't pitch him against science - he'll never come out ahead.
