i was wondering how you can tell the sex of jewels and how you can get them to breed off ?????

It's really tough to tell males from females until they spawn. Often males do have brighter colors, but due to all of the color varieties and inbreeding of this fish, that's not always the case any more.

As for breeding behavior, it's typical of most smaller sough american cichlids. Here's a link with photos and more information:

the sex jewels is another name for the testicals of a male person
so they are always male.

And if you dont know the purpose of those jewels with breeding ,you should not be asking this questiuo yet.
