The morning after pill does not cause an abortion. It works long before there is an embryo, let alone a baby. It keeps the egg from implanting and becoming an embryo. It stops you from getting pregnant. There is a lot of (probably deliberate) false information being posted on here from people setting out to deliberately confuse you into not using a very safe and very responsible choice if you don't want to get pregnant.

The morning after pill stops fertilization thats why you have to take it within those 72 hours of unprotected sex. There is no pregnancy it stops it before it happens and if by some chance you were already pregnant it will not work the pregnancy will continue.. Good Luck!

The morning after pill will NOT terminate a pregnancy that has already occured, according to my Dr and information posted by the makers of the drug. It will prevent fertilization if taken correctly, however, if that has already occured, the pregnancy willl continue, with no harm done to the developing fetus.
From their website, www.go2planb.com:
"Remember that Plan B® is not RU-486 (the abortion pill). Because Plan B® is used to prevent an unplanned pregnancy, it will not work if you’re already pregnant. If you take Plan B® and are already pregnant, it will not affect your existing pregnancy"
I hope this helps, and best of luck ...

Personally, I don't think so. I think that the morning after pill stops the sperm from reaching the egg with hormones. I could be wrong but I know its not killing the actual heart beat which doctors call an early fetus.

yes, if a tree falls in the woods does it make a sound? Just because you don't know you pregnant that doesn't change the fact an embryo is about to get flushed out in your menstral cycle.
Here's how the morning after pill works...
It could kill all of the sperm after ejaculation.
It could prevent the fertilized egg from implanting in
the uterus.
It could either prevent or delay the release of the egg.

yes, the moment a sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby is human. Three days later the baby is already growing inside you and is starting to develop. It is a living human being, and taking pills would be murder.

according to what the ER dr told me after i was raped, If it had already implanted then the pill won't work, so all your doing is stopping implantation with the morning after pill.

i dont really think it would be cause a baby is more a baby when it is 3weeks onwords altho other people have there own opinion on that but techincally it would be seen as an easy quick painless abortion for women who are really wanting a child
