What is a Shibeth Goy?

Can a nice jew tell me? John Ashcroft's mother was called that when they lived in Chicago. I thought Goy meant nation or people.

I'm not Jewish, but I happen to know that this is a non-Jew who works for Jewish folks on their sabbath, when they aren't allowed to do any work.

Goy is usually used to refer to a non-Jewish person. Shibeth I have no idea.

usually a decent white boy who turns of the lights in a jewish home when the sabbath has started.
