They are essentially the same and can be configured with the same parts. The only fundamental difference is the screen size, the 9000 is 17 inches while the 6000 is 15 inches, so it comes down to how big a screen you should get. Also, look at the 9500 or 6500, they have the new faster Core 2 Duos just released.

There are so many options on both of those it depends on which options you choose. The dv9000t always comes with Core 2 Duo processor, which is MUCH better than the Celeron that dv6000t offers. But the dv6000t has Core 2 Duo as an upgrade option also. You can get the same amount of memory in both, and the same of most other options. If you post the specs of the computers you're looking at we could help you more.

I LOVE IT
I would get it because it is more portable, and many of the upgrade options are less.
Mine (recommended) is
dv6000t

2 gigs of ram

microphones internal
vista home premium
nvidia geforce go 7400 with 256 megabytes of ram
a/b/g wireless
3 usb ports
it cost 1,003 dollars
i love it
i would go with the dv6000t
