I am expecting a baby and need to know if my rover 214 (1997) has a passenger airbag (so baby can sit in front in car seat)

the dash will have the airbag logo printed on it if it does have one. i dont think it will though.

The passenger airbag was optional, and very few were fitted with it.
If it has one, the panel in front of the passenger on the dashboard will have a small rectangular label (about 10mm by 20mm) saying "SRS".
If there is no "SRS" label on the passenger's side, there is no passengers airbag.

I'm going off the Rover 600 of the same year which doesn't and they're one of the more "executive" Rovers.

you will know by looking around the area of the passenger seat. It should be advertised clearly.

No your model does not have passenger air bag fitted sorry.
