I just did. Some are boring girls that want desparately to be older than they are and talk only about boys, some blow me off all the time for people "they never get to see", others could'nt care enough to call me but when I've given up they call up asking me if i'm mad at them, others have changed A LOT when I've stayed the same...

I do need new friends. But i'm picky about friends...i'm not remotely interested in a lot of people, and the people that I am, i'm too shy to just go up to them and start talking...

Welcome to the club. I realized that about 7 years ago.

when hit this realization, it's usually followed by the realization that they weren't really good or "true" friends to begin with.

when you move on, it can either be lonely or exhilarating... there's an entire world out there, waiting for you to explore... many different people, from various walks of life. find your strength in character, by working on yourself - get you to where you want you to be... the pieces will fall into place.

when choosing new friends, don't limit yourself to a certain type of person. see what beauty there is in diversity, and what freedom there is in bringing people together.

you can find happiness, and the memories you & your new friends will make, can overshadow the hurt and disappointment that you feel when you remember the old. just chalk it up to lessons learned. go over the things that "went wrong," recognize the warning signs, and purpose to have healthy relationships.

EVERY healthy relationship has boundaries. find and then respect these, and you will remain friends for a lifetime.

Yeah, I have realized my friend's suck and I have told them. lol They always want to talk about nothing but their problems, hair, kids and other stuff that seems to me useless info. Why can't any of them pick up a good book, have discussion about that. Maybe talk about politics. Maybe call and ask me how my day is going. Maybe.. even try to plan something to do other than get together drink and play cards. Yes, they do suck but we choose them as friends and no matter what they do they will always be friends. So learn to accept they are different from you and keep them as friends cause that is what friends do! And you can always make new ones that are a little more in tune with who you are :)

Friends are people that you or they have choosen to be a part of you life... Maybe you need to be more selective when making descisions on friends. I have been blessed with the GREASTEST friends. Without them I wouldn't have never made it across the bridge over troubled waters. I still have the 1st friend I made. I was 8 & we are both friends to this very day. That was 47 yrs. ago. Friends are the best treasures of life ...

Firstly, I hate people. Secondly, the close group of very interesting friends I do have would not be even "remotely interested" in you. So sorry, better take another dip in the shallow end of the gene pool, maybe you can find something there that might interest you.

I used to have friends that suck, but I got rid of them. Now I only have a few friends, and I am ever so cautious with even them. It's hard to trust people nowadays.

i have been there. but you know what i learned? It is not them it is you. you are the one who is changing and that is why they are becoming so boring to you and you are not as interested in them as you used to be. Sounds like you are just growing up and getting to be more mature that they are right now.
