I was. Liberals in my County government just raised my property taxes.

Now they want to make more programs for welfare mothers to get free childcare. WTF?! Why should I pay for this nonsense?

Liberalism strikes again!

Thats what Liberals have always done so well at...Tax and Spend! Then they start secret "slush funds" to line the pockets of all their cronies! Here in Canada,I have had to put up with 30+ years of Liberal Socialism. Gun Control at a high cost...that doesn't work. Penalized for working hard to be successful, paying for People who have no ambition to do well...but have had every opportunity handed to them. A Justice System...that is anything-but Just? Government's that claim to represent the Canadian Family and the Little Man,but all the while...they would screw them the most! A Welfare system...that was even more lucrative-than a Real Job! Government waste of Taxpayer Dollar's on Gimmicks such as Multiculturalism and Bilingualism,or should I say rather "Billiongualism" for a Dream that is just that....A Dream! Lining their pockets,by diverting Taxpayer Dollars to "Liberal Friendly" Advertising firms...and having a good portion of that money-diverted back to their Election Coffer's! Watching the Family and Ethical Value's of this fair land...go to hell in a handbaggy! Watching Public School's go to pot, where a good Education...is now only a Right to the Secular Few!!! Watch the Lib's continuously fingerpoint the Con's,and accuse them of doing the very same things...that they totally excelled at! Watch the Lib's make such a big deal out of the "Kyoto Lie" and try to make it the #1 issue of an election, yet to be called...but still hold the Conservative Government Budget "hostage" over its implementation? Watched them change the Definition of Marriage, that has too often been rejected by Canadian's...but same will say that "the Vast number of Canadian's support the Bill" but yet most I've spoken to-were clearly against it??? Too many productive and profiting companie's like Bombardier, getting Tax Concession's by the Lib's...even though their profits were into the Billion's! The complete and total decimation of the Canadian Forces...to almost a Boy Scout Troop! Watch them Flip Flop on more debate, just to sound good to their Media Buddie's...and suck another generation of Canadians into thinking that they have their best interest's at heart??? Watch them use Immigration has a way to garner vote's at the hand of Gullible Newcomer's...and even leave them more oppressed, than what they came over as! Watch with "Sadness" as the U.S.A. starts to embrace the same ideologie's,and the people being led on to believe that this is in their best interests? Oh...and many of the Agencie's have become completely corrupted at the Federal and Provincial level's! Here in Ontario...my corrupt agency of choice is-The Children's Aid Society. No? They are not about Child Safety...they are mostly about Power,False Prestige and Money! They steal Children for Government cash, and alot of Children who really needed the Protection...just seem to end up worse off or dead!!! They'll practically hand a Kid over...to the "least fit" Parent or even a Child Molester! Even the much coveted Canadian Police Service's are beginning to show a negative side, that seems to reflect the "aspiration's" of their Political Master's...and not the General Welfare of the Public-they claim to protect! So go ahead America...embrace Liberal Ideology-because once they latch on...they are really difficult to remove! And you'll be well on your way to Executive Federalism...Where Government tell's you how you should conduct yourself, instead of the other way around! I'm sure you are just going to Love it? NOT!!!!

No, but about 40 million unborn babies have been victims of what the media declares as "liberalism" over the past 33 years. I don't think denying anyone, born or unborn, of the opportunity to become whatever they can be is "liberal," however.

I do admit that sometimes I wonder about liberals and taxes. I remember presiding over a meeting of the local Friends of The Library, and being told that it is up to the town to provide money for an improvement the library needed even if our organization could raise the money without dipping into the town treasury.

Some things have to be done with tax money however; cutting out waste should be a higher priority in many cases though.

Yes, as a small business owner, the state elected to raise minimum wage, I had to raise the rates of my services just to stay open. After having been open for three years, I'm now forced to either pay $88 dollars more a year to have a sign out by the road or take it down -- more taxation without representation and more useless government.
I served twenty plus years in the military, the last eight being under Billary. Promotions were few and far between, one of the first questions asked was ALWAYS "Race?" Followed closely by "M or F." But GOD knows we would NEVER socially promote the under or less qualified.
I spent four hours in the E.R. the other night for a thirty minute suture job. Why four hours? Even though I have health insurance for just such emergencies, the law requires that the E.R. treat everyone who passes through their doors regardless of a lack of money or insurance. So, the three doctors on duty, were too busy dealing with the indignent and their sniffles. Liberalism.

there are no liberals and conservatives anymore, just liberals. democrats and republicans both are liberal. We haven't had a conservative president in over 75 years... at least! We all have been a victim... the gold standard being switched to credit for one. Corporations having the rights of human beings (very liberal) but is disguised as being conservative. THIS country was formed to escape the tyrannies of Kings and Queens, but now companies are represented at a higher degree than individual, that is if we can say that individuals are even represented at all.

We don't have a free market... we have a rigged or what some may call a "fixed" market. When is the cry going to ring once more "no taxation without representation". We need new leadership and a restorative free market economy. These growth industries will be our demise.

As conservative as I am, I'd rather get a tax increase to get welfare mothers off of the payroll and see them get jobs. I'm gathering that is what the free childcare is all about?

Everyday, I live in Wisconsin which is 5th in the nation for high taxes. The state is run by liberal dems and the University of Wisconsin Madison makes Berkeley look conservative

Cite your county for proof.

Considering the harsh anti-poverty wave that swept over the nation under Tommy Thompson's kick 'em off welfare mindset, you don't see much welfare as you did years ago.

If you don't like the taxes, find someplace you can avoid paying them. That's the republican way. I hear Texas is fairly good about property taxes...

Yeah, why should you pay for more services for those who can't afford it on their own?

Why should you pay for ANYTHING which might benefit other people?

In that case, why don't you not pay for hospitals, public transportation, and garbage pickup on Wednesdays--while you're at it.

Why should I have to pay for your roads?
Why should I have to pay for your cops, firefighters and public libraries?
Because they are for the common good.
Why are you on here whining about this?
Especially in light of the fact that over 40% of every tax dollar goes to line the pockets of the Military industrial corporate complex's pockets? Especially when George Bush o.k'd over 250 billion dollars (OUR TAX DOLLARS) a year to be given to oil corporations in the form of tax subsidies while they steal us blind at the pumps and already have record breaking profits. Especially when Bush cut taxes for the richest 1% to the point where they get rebates and tax cuts in the form of up to $500,000 a year.
Especially when Bush gets us into an endless war that is costing us over 9 billion a month. Especially when education is being cut at the same time money allocated toward prisons is rising rapidly. Especially when our roads and bridges are falling apart. Especially when there is a rise in poverty, foreclosures and a rising inflation rate all tied to major drops in the dollar.
When are you guys going to wake up and stop blaming the poor and the real victims that Bush is causing. If you have a house over your head, own your house, and own the computer you are using, then you are no victim of liberalism. But you are the victim of conservativism gone bad if they have to raise taxes for programs for the poor. The rising rate of poverty has a price. You either see it with higher rates of crime in this country. Or, you see higher rates of money going into welfare.
The smart thing would be to kick the conservatives out, so we can see a real change in this country that would benefit all of us and not just the rich.
So, quit whining and count your blessings with gratitude.

Every day!! And we shouldn't have to pay for these kinds of things. They scream about the economy, how much the republicans are spending and yet they think nothing of giving money away to those that should be assuming responsiblity but won't!
