Its one thing to have pride in your heritage, but when you use that as an excuse to hate on ohters and harm others that is where racism comes in.

Because alot of races that come to this country some get caught up in the "American Melting Pot" by either being criticised by Americans (normally white folks) for being different. Some even become ashamed of it. So to preserve the backgrounds and traditions, ethnic groups develop having a sense of pride in cultures. Whites have pride in their cultures. What about the Irish parades, Greek festivals, and German festivals? There's nothing wrong with having white pride when it comes to European cultures, but what is Caucasian culture?

no, it matters how it is used.

i think everyone needs racial pride. Read "Makes Me Wanna Holler" it was a stereotypical blk man who found racial pride and because of it rose to be a writer for the New York Times

racial pride changes your decisions. it makes you do the right thing when you don't want to because of how it reflects your race and in honor of your ancestors.

some find white pride offensive, well then if i was white i'd just say "irish pride" or "italian pride" because ppl don't get offended when it is more specific as such

NO, white pride is not a racist term.

White pride is racist, because white people are supposed to be ashamed of ourselves for acts we did not committ. At least that is what I have come to understand through media and popular opinion.

The other two are fine because they have never done anything wrong, once, ever in the history of time as a race.

Depends what you mean by it. Some people mean "Take pride in your heritage and culture" and that's fine. Others, when they say it, mean "We're better than you", and that IS racist. I like People Pride myself.

I most certainly do. If you say you have white pride then you're racist & they put you in the KKK category. However, in our community, they have "Black Pride Day". It upsets me because they can call it that yet if there was a "White Pride Day" then there'd be the NAACP breathing down everyone's neck.

I think if a white person went into a prodominately black area and screamed it out, then i guess so (and the other way around)
