AN FANCY NAME FOR A POSH WINE BAR THAT DOES FOOD.

Its a restaurant, but a lot more casual than a normal restaurant, may not have tablecloths on the table, and Menu may be written on a Blackboard...the food is not usually Haute Cuisine, more of a country feel in a French Style...a more relaxed meal....I like them, although a lot of cafes are starting to call themselves Bistros as they think its fashionable.....

A bistro is where you get good grub and is a mix of cafe and retaurant .. Bistros can be casual and you can sit at table outside the restaurant. and they in France are usually crammed with as many tables and ave pretty good service.

They will have a set menu and a specials menu. I had the best paella anywhere there.

Generally it's French cuisine, but on a more casual scale than a fancy French restaurant. Like tables outside, more affordable food.
