when I was a little girl I thought being "born again" meant that I would get back into my mother's womb and become a baby again.

I just thought of another one I had. When I was little, you know the sitcoms that are taped in front of a studio audience. I used to think that when I heard laughing it was other people at their own homes watching television, and that I could hear them laughing so I would try to be the loudest one so somebody would hear me

LOL...I always thought that there were people who actually worked underground, in order to control the traffic lights. Who knows where I came up with that?! Boy am I glad that was just a thought as a kid and now I know better! LOL

That I would eventually grow up.
That my insides were full of little tiny people that worked to keep my body running.
That I could never be important because my last name isn't Johnson. (President Johnson, Principal Johnson.)
That because my dad fought in the Korean war, he knew every language in the World.
That babies were born through the anus.
That male p*bic hair had semen emitting holes, and female p*bic hair had semen uptake holes.
That getting old or dying only happened to bad people. (Bit of a paradox, eh?)
That having the highest IQ in my second grade actually meant something.
That it was natural to hate girls, and that would never change.
Biggest one of all: Life is fair!

I used to think the entire world was in black, white, and gray. All of the TV shows from the 50's are in black and white so I figured the entire world actually looked that way. lol.

My mom told me years ago that if I ground my teeth I'd get worms. I believed it for years (and didn't grind my teeth!) until my husband doubled over laughing saying my mom was full of sh**. Heh. Nothing like 30 years of believing something!

That the stork brought babies and I didn't see one when my brother came and I was 5 so I didn't believe that one anymore. This is from my kid. I made cole slaw one day and she was sitting there playing in it with her fork and she said. Why isn't it black? We live in coal country.
