i changed my screen saver, now my desk top colors are very dark bad not clear like they were before. any help?

i am very new to using my computer, so could you explain so i can understand please!!!!!!!!!

right click the desktop, choose properties, choose 32 bit color.

Do NOT download screensavers from just anysite. They ae a MAJOR source of spyware.
