GOPers talked about nothing in 04' but how John Kerry was a "flip flopper" for his stance on the Iraq war. Obviously we all know how that has turned out.
My question is, the republican party going to really nominate a bozo like Mitt Romney? A Mormon #1 and a real flip flopper #2. He's trying to get dems and independents fired up about his "new" stance on abortion. This is the same man who in 2004 said that his stance on the issue was unequivocally against abortion rights and that the 14th amendment should protect unborn children. Whether you agree with abortion or not. Would you follow this man.

Not to mention the fact that the Mormon religion isn't even 200 years old yet. How insane is it to think that Joseph Smith was contacted by the Angel Moroni and given solid gold tablets that contained the writings of a new religion. Not to mention the fact that only 2 people ever saw these tablets until they vanished into thin air.

No big suprise here, a red sox fan pipes in with the statement: "your a moron."

Where in the question or description did you read that I would ever vote for the two dem candidates? Never in my life would I vote for either. They are both the wrong candidates for what Americans are looking for today. We need someone that isn't going to constantly pander to public opinion and is going to tell it like it is. Not how his current party feels about the choice.....and for all of you who are going to say we have a president like that now, your sadly off base. Georgey boy has done nothing for this country except make us weaker and far more diminished on an international role.

If he has given us anything its hopefully a reality check that its not OKAY to just invade another country and send your military over boarders as if it were the third reich.

I can't imagine anyone taking this question seriously, at least no one with an ounce of respect and understanding regarding the system of government we live in. Just by bringing up this guys religion, and saying you wouldn't vote for him because of his religion, is completely un-American and disrespectful. One would hope we could value the diversity of our country. Additionally, the way our government is set up it's not like he would get anywhere pushing agenda that was religious based (and that's taking the gigantic leap that he would, because we can see from the past that he doesn't and wouldn't).

As to his "flip-flopping"...I'm not sure you can say he has. He did change his views on abortion, but I would bet there are a lot of people out there who were once pro-choice and are now pro-life. People are free to grow and change their views. It's not like he was ever for abortion. He always thought it was despicable, but left it up to the states. People can and will decipher whether or not he is genuine. People should vote on their impression, whether his agenda is in line with their own, and whether he is better than the other candidate. Kerry's flip-flopping wasn't what hurt him, it was how he ran his campaign and his strategies.

Anyway, I have faith my fellow citizens will be less ingorant and in the dark than you. Here's to our freedoms.

I don't think he'd stand much of a chance in a stronger field, but people are still trying to find their candidate this year. So, he might just pull it off. Who knows? It's going to be an interesting year. Personally, I don't think the nominee will be among today's first tier. A lot can change in 18 months.
