It was dark brown and black and was about 8cm long. It had those leaf cutting things on the front of its head and they were about 2cm long each! It didn't fly but looked like it might've had wings under its shell. It was sort of half walking and half crawling on the pavement on its own. What could it have been?

That is a Stag Beetle.

One of them must have been what got smashed on my motor bick helmet visor.It was so gooy I had to pull off the road to clean the visor.
