All of the above--I think the powers to be are afraid there will be a protest so huge that it could not be ignored.

No it's the left wing 'extremists' that are the current problem.
The PC brigade have 'banned' all discussion of contentious issues by declaring anyone who raises a point as a fascist, racist, misogynist etc. It is impossible to have an adult debate without the ranters denouncing anyone who doesn't agree with them.
I don't like some of the views expressed, in fact some are truly disgraceful but I believe it is better to have these views expressed in a 'controlled' environment where they can be examined, explored and countered.
Sadly the failure of 'multi-culturalism' is not allowed as a discussion point because the truth of 'pockets' and ghetto's of isolation, where extremists are creating power bases of their own, would destroy the Rosy vision these fools wish to sell you.
I write as a man in a mixed race, faith and culture marriage whose children are more at risk than at any time in the past because of the refusal of the political elite to admit they got it wrong.

There are extremists on both sides of the fence. However, the mainstream media is controlled more by the left wing extremists, as is the school system in this country. There is an indoctrination of liberal ideas, starting when we are too young to realize it. The conservatives basically have a couple newspapers, fox news (that also has some liberals), and conservative talk radio. I would worry more about the left wing extremists.

yes but some of the things that need to be done are really up to the public no politician can do anything the public has the money this is where the power is if the public were to stop worrying about terrorism and think of ways everyone could develop an outlet for their frustrations like a very optimistic one like world wide voting and a world union just focus on the thought that you and other people could vote in eachother's elections and that worry disapears just think of south american representitives in north america, african ones maybe a middle eastern or african president of the u.s. and think of this in a positive light not assume this is necessarily bad think of strong laws of the environment beleive in a world at peace and it will be the reality if everyone beleives this is what the world is like it will be

People on the right have concerns about specific issues such as abortion and terrorism. It is demeaning and belittling to be labeled as a distraction. Just because your priorities may be different, shouldn't be any reason to insult the other side. If any freedoms in this country have been lost you can blame the terrorists and illegals who have forced us to up the security.

I think this is a tactic that both the right and the left use. And, I do think the whole political system is designed to distract us from the problems that can be solved. But, that would mean the politicians would have to actually accomplish something.

Dear and gentle correspondent, right wingers, as you so affectionately term them, are the only folks paying attention. The greatest cause of conflict in this country is the inability of politicians from both parties to keep their hands off money from lobbyists. A third major party is needed-now!

Extremists of any kind are usually determined to exploit apparent weaknesses in society (and the environment) to better serve their own interests and causes.

I wish the left wing liberal extremists would get a grip of reality, cant they see what they are creating, because of the far fetched political correctness, and the mass immigration invasion taking place in the u.k. there is ethnic cleansing of the indigenous population going on in this so called civilised part of the world. jim.
