All the knowledge in the world is neither good or bad... it is how it is being used and applied...

Merry Meet ..
I read all the answers and they are all good.. I trust there is as some would call Dark and light in everything and everyone.. for Wicca/Wiccans/Pagans there is Rules per-say for anything that I would call Dark..
Actually a Rule and a Law..
The Law is The three fold Law_ Ever Mind the rule of three what You give comes back to thee.. Three times good or three times bad..
and Harm None do as thee will..
the plus or minus to that one is..
the verse says...
Harm none less ye be harmed...
That meaning.. in my view is.. If You do magick to harm another for no apparent reason its a bad thing ( see the law of three) ..
If You are doing a Spell, potion or Prayer of sorts as a means of protection or good for Self or Others then it's different.. does this change the Dark and Light in Your question.. Nope .. it is just something to add to Your question and what You already think.. but with a tadd more information..
Is any religion dark or light?? I think they all have both in them...
Great question though... bravo... Merry Part and Brightest Blessings

I believe that it depends on the person, if you have good intentions then it is good magic and if you had wel is bad magic. Two friends and i were really into wicca a few years ago and we looked alot into it. A person practising good and a person practising bad can use the same spell, ingredients, atmosphere etc, but there intentions are what permit the outcome of the spell. Non believers out come is nothing by the way. So if you are doing a spell for a good reason, a pure reason or something you really want for a positive and non harming to others purpose then you can class it as good, but if you do the spell out of hate, revenge, spite etc then its bad magic. So to answer your question yes there is good witchcraft.

Witchcraft is neither good nor evil, the only good or evil lies in the intent and/or heart of the person casting the spell. It's the same with prayer. People can pray for a car to hit someone and that doesn't make the prayer evil, it just makes the person's intent at the time such.

The label witch is the invention of the Christians. Though now, it has accrued honor because of many who have worn it proudly in adversity. What has always been is the crafts. Historically these have been many, but here are a few.

Dowsing
Midwifery
Healer
Bone setter
Herbalist
Maker of potions
Candle maker
Animal caller
Scientists
Teachers of philosophy
Psychic
Empath
Maker of poultices
Librarians
Finder of Ley Lines
All of those within the above crafts have been called witches by Christianity and many executed for practicing their craft. There is neither white nor black in all these crafts.

Having a will that is free is utterly futile unless you have freedom of action.

Yes, we Irish name it Witta and the English and Americans spell it Wicca which translates as "wise" in these countries. Sometimes referred as "white" magick or witchcraft, it has been declared as the opposite of Satanism or "black" magick
teachings. Wiccans worship the duality of nature in the forms of the God and Goddess so they are not considered monotheistic as the Christians whom worship a trinity in some sects such as Catholicism. Witches or practitioners spend a lot of time on healing individuals and the world and some of them include Christian teachings in their rituals. Despite the contrary propaganda, it wasn't God who burned the witches in Salem, NA, it was their "friends" and neighbors.
You might want to look up the School of Wicca located in New Bern, either South or North Carolina and take some of their courses.

witch craft isn't colored (for the fluffy bunnies out there)

Good witchcraft includes healing and protection, energising and uplifting, spells for under standing, clarity, prudence and justice could be counted among them. Fertility too.
"Good" Witch craft (assuming you mean good vs bad not good vs boring) is witchcraft that is used to bring about good things in your life and in the lives of those around you without harming or manipulating anything. (impossible goal but it's a goal none the less)
"Good" witchcraft otherwise could include turning water into wine, that would be nifty. or Levitation that would be "Good" as in opposite of boring (though unrealistic)
And witch craft isn't divided into 2 parts, that's like saying the 24 hours in the day are divided by dark and light as if there is no twilight and that all light is just as brite and all darkness is just as dark. Witch craft is like everything else in your life- is drinking that glass of juice for good or evil? Is that white living or black living- it's neither ofcourse, the intention is on you, if you're drinking that juice because you bought it, your thirsty and you need something to take care of yourself, that could be "good" living. If your drinking it because your baby brother screamed at you for an hour not to touch his %*/$ juice, that could be considered evil.lol

Witchcraft or workings of the witch is also known as magick.
Magick is making use of one's own personal power or Will in combination with the energies found within candles, stones, herbs, and other natural items combined with correspondences.

Witchcraft in and of itself is neither good or evil; it is neutral. It is the intentions of the Witch or one using witchcraft that is either positive (good) or negative (evil).

Witchcraft has two paths, my dear. The path of light and the path of darkness. The path of light is good magic. Thanks for asking a question that everyone should ask. We are all so conditioned to hear the word 'witch' and think 'burn them!' Witches are not evil, by nature. Human beings are not evil by nature. That being said, remember there is an element of the population who are evil and so you must be on your guard against them. Those who practice 'good' as you call it magic, use the energy of nature to do 'good'. It is as much a part of life as breathing. It is not a way to control others, it is not a way to get your own way or to gain riches, or any of the other things that would invoke the rule of three. It is, my dear, the path to a peaceful and happy life.

Yes, it is called WITCHCRAFT, and anyone who thinks it is evil or bad knows nothing of it - they have formed their opinions from what they have been brainwashed into since the day they were born. If they were to research, they would say naught against it. Any who say they had been involved in it and discovered the evil of its ways are liars and were affiliated or exposed to a fraud.
