Which program are you talking about? Each program may have it's own way. Most people talk about IE. Go to tools/internet options/delete history, cookies,cache. But if you were doing anything illegal and want to hide your tracks, Even a complete reformat will not stop law enforcement from finding your footsteps. There are programs like PGP that are cheap that will hide stuff from your wife/girlfriend, etc, but if youre trying to do anything illegal, they can get you if they want to

start > control panel > internet options > general tab > browsing history > delete > delete all this is IE 7.0 if you mean passwords you delete cookies here, which delete all should get rid of all that

i think 6.0 is start > control panel > internet options > content > auto complete > clear all



start > control panel > internet options > (has options to clear a lot of things stored from websites)
