it really depends on what was serviced. if a hard drive was replaced then its fine but if its an internal component like a system board or a cpu i wouldnt buy it because once something is opened theres no telling what the tech has done. being a tech you see some crummy thing called refurb.

Dell inspirons are technically as good as a new one, but the warranty is NOT as good, make sure you check those and consider an extended warranty. Just because it is MARKED refurbished, does NOT mean it is used. Dell makes a ton of computers everyday for people whose credit doesn't pass, or they want to upgrade, or DHL doesn't deliver properly and they have to reorder. THOSE comps are often turned over to Dell outlet.

Better! You have all that money left over for beer! The biggest depreciation you will experience in buying and selling computers is when you buy a new computer and thereby turn it into a used computer. Even if you don't plug it in, you just lost 25% of the retail value by bringing it home from the store.

sure, they usually wipe the hard drive and install the operating system again, they also clean the computer so it is just as good but cheaper
