Your question is somewhat moronic in that he didn't lie to the troops or to anyone else for that matter.

St. William Jefferson Clinton, during his years in the White House often spoke of the WMDs Saddam had and about the grave danger an armed Iraq posed to this country. I doubt you'll read this link but it explains what exactly lead up to the intelligence and the war. It's an excellent piece for people who want to know what the truth is regarding the issue.

People saying the President lied is such weak argument... furthermore the President didn't take us to war he can't CONGRESS voted us to war... even they believed Iraq had WMDs they receive the same intelligence briefings that the President does.

George Bush and his lying Administration cooked the books as they say on the information that they presented. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and never did. The PNAC which is the project for the New American Century were the ones that pushed to go into Iraq. Their members include Dickless Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, Scooter Libby, Donald Rumsfeld, Jebb Bush, Dan Quail and more.

The PNAC doctrine believes that the United States should set up Armed Forces bases around the world so they can play World Policeman as they see fit. You may thank these bunch of cowards for eroding the United States reputation around the world and because of them the trust is gone for believing the United States.

To bad the whole works of them couldn't be charged with treason for their actions especially the illegal War in Iraq.

Surely you know by now that "intelligence" told all the
]politicians the wmd were over there. Clinton, himself,
said they had them. You know what? They did have
them, but while waiting on U.N. Inspectors ( which took
six months), they were smart enough to load the wmd
onto passenger planes and off they went to Syria.
You will find them there, my friend. That is the truth, so
quit saying Bush lied. Saddam met his fate, also.

There is strong evidence to support that WMD's are/were available for/by Saddam. Ask any soldier who has been there. Also evidence for chemical weapons has been found by our troops who were unfortunate enough to stumble across it. SOme will never know exactly what they were exposed to.

It was to get revenge against Saddam. Because Saddam tried to blow-up Bush senior in Kuwait back in the early 1990's. But the Kuwaiti police stopped them before the got close enough. the Bush family was pissed.
