You are absolutely right. And the television too. And lights on in rooms, needlessly.
I try to teach my kids about this, because it will take a generation or two to make a difference. We are starting NOW. And I ride the bike to the bakery! etc.

I Don't Think About Besides I Shut Down My Computer My I Leave My House And When I Go To Work And Sleep And I Work On My Computer Most Of The Day When I Here I Don't Really Care About All That Global Warning Junk I Think About Now I'm Not Worried About What Going To Happen 200 Or More years From Now

it's a shame how so many people don't realize the devastating effects global warming has, even happening as we talk!!i turn everything off when i don't use it!i also use halogen light bulbs in my whole house!we can all do we can to help....but this problem is deeper than that!did you know that every time a plane goes into the air it gives off more fumes than all the cars in new york?also how about the factories........we all need to do sth about that too

I believe in Global warming and I had no idea that it truly had an effect on it if I left my computer on. Thank you. I use the computer all day long on weekends, this includes my daughter and husband. But I usally leave it on at night too. I wll make an effort to shut it off. I want a nice healthy planet for my daughters to live in! Thanks for the tip!

When I'm on YA, I'm usually also working or doing homework. Maybe you should stop blowing your hot air out to cut down on Global Warming. My kids need to eat.

Never considered. There are many things that use electricity (most actually) so I don't worry about my laptop.
