f(x) = 5x2 - 3x + 1

to find f(-2) just plug and play.

f(-2) = 5(-2)^2 - 3(-2) + 1
= 5(4) + 6 + 1
= 27

and that's the way ti goes.

Just plug in -2 whereever you see an x.
f(-2) = 5[(-2)^2] -3(-2) +1
f(-2) = 5(4) + 6 + 1
f(-2) = 27
